Sound Devices 664 with Lectros, TC Buddy, and slate

Audio 911 has just taken delivery of the new Sound Devices 664 mixer with an integrated multitrack recorder from Gotham Sound of New York City. The unit just underwent some bench testing and is ready for action as of 1/2/13. It is slated for use for a few national spots during the third week of January ’13. The 664 joins a good range of audio recording units offered by Audio 911, from expanded ProTools HD3 systems, the Metacorder location audio software application, to the small Marantz MP3 recorders. The 664 is a nice middle ground unit that has 6 iso record channels, 2 aux record channels, and stereo L/R record tracks in a portable package, because sometimes 24 tracks is too much or too complicated, and 2 tracks is not enough! The unit is perfect for DSLR, Alexa, and RED format video camera shoots.
